8.1 Return to Class
The return to class is the process that allows the student to resume their studies in the event of them being expelled.
When the situation happens, they will receive an alert on the home page. Clicking on the alert takes them directly to the return to class page.
The Return to Class page has two tabs. Once submitted, your request appears on the History tab. If you have a pending request appeal to make, then the available tab will be the appeal request.
History tab
- Lists all your return to class requests. Each entry has two buttons — a blue button to view the request's details, and a red button (visible only if the request was denied) explaining the reason for denial.
- It also contains the expulsion appeal option. This option is available when the return to class is rejected. It allows the student to appeal the rejection and have another chance, present new information, and have their request reevaluated.
Request tab
- Instructions on how the process works.
- A field to explain the reason for your absence.
- A toggle to indicate whether you have supporting medical documentation — enabling it reveals a button to attach the relevant files.
- A submit button.
